Arnason Appraisals was born out of a local family real estate business dating back to the 1920's. Hal Arnason Sr. started Arnason & Company Real Estate and Insurance in 1927. In 1952, Hal Arnason Jr. joined his father and brought appraisal services to the business. In 1972, Hal Arnason III joined the firm as an appraiser. The company gradually shifted away from insurance, with its primary focus being real estate and appraisal services. In 1998, Arnason Realtors and Miller Real Estate merged and began operating as Coldwell Banker Miller-Arnason Real Estate. In 2010, Coldwell Banker BAIN acquired the real estate portion of the company and the appraisal services branched off as Arnason Appraisals. Arnason Appraisals continues to provide residential and land appraisals throughout Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
